“A First Date” Final

Post 12

our group had a bit of difficulty settin up shots and figuring out how to portray our narrative in a clear way. But in the end, we have what we have and we did our best to make it work

Narrative Project

Narrative Project

For our Narrative Project we started our filming the next week we got assigned it. We picked the location to film at the school so that everyone would be together and have a part in it. We finished filming in one day and had a member edit the music and clips together. Then met the next week to see the final cut and talked about any changes that needed to be done. Sam editing, Alex filming, Me acting, and Alexis editing scripts for us.

Narrative Project

For the narrative project my team was on top of things, we started with not that great of a script and got all of the needed footage done in just a couple of hours. ┬áThe following week we got together and created music and edited and we were finished ahead of schedule. Because I wasn’t acting I didn’t have much of a role, all I could do is offer my input and suggestions on what to do and how to do certain scenes, I also edited the script. The person who came up with the story had a vision for how the video should pan out and they kind of took the reigns. It was all in all a fun experience, and our video turned out great, I think.

For our final project our group had a good idea and plan in place which unfortunately fell apart as we were unable to find actors. Which then left us very little time to shoot anything which we did to the best of our abilities in the short amount of time we had left. Plus we couldn’t find common ground the day we shot the film.

For the final project my group and I did a video anout the titanic from the icebergs perspective. We using different music and sound effects along with words on screen to tell a narrative. The narrative is suppose to be funny, and it only has two camera angles

For the final project we did the icebergs point of view. At first we made 3D models of the iceberg and Titanic, but we decided to go with a 2D image using music, sound effects, and only two camera angles. It is suppose to be funny

Our Short Film

For the narrative story we brainstormed a bit, before finally settling on a basic idea that Sam had already come up with. After a bit of planning, we had a rough script. At first we thought we would go the traditional route full of color, and talking. But, eventually we decided on a silent black and white aesthetic. I think it fit well! We planned a day, left class early, and shot the whole thing. We spent a lot of time the day off making sure the light was right, and experimenting with a couple different camera techniques. Once we were done shooting, we edited the video, and turned it black and white. After that we sat down and recorded a soundtrack for it!
