The Ghost Who Couldn’t Scare Part 4-5

Once done his happy dance, our ghost turns around only to see a much bigger, SCARIER character (undecided) behind him. He’s scared out of his boots and runs off in terror. We see the ghost walking at a slow pace very sad as you can tell he is contemplating life-terminating actions. He is clearly unaware of his true purpose and decides to try out other “professions.” We find he is a wonderful helper rather than a scarer, as we see him help an old lady across the street, return a wallet to a man who  dropped it, and help someone get their car unstuck from the mud. The ghost finally feels confident again and is walking through the hallways all proud. He turns to make a left while a woman turns from the left making a right, and, the lady throws her papers up in the air as she shreaks. the look on the face of the ghost is a delighted one. [SCENE]

The Dream

Mary-Beth.

I have been trapped in this room for over a week and I am still trying to figure out how I got here.

Sounds

She continues to hear noises: creeping in the walls, the floor settling, scream from another room.

Mary-Beth

I want to get up and see what’s going on but is stuck on the bed and something is holding her down. My body can’t struggle to get up any longer

Illustrate

No one has come to visit me in over a week .what happen to everyone.

Mary-Beth

Every time I close my eyes the scenery changes and I begin to think about different memories that happen in my life. In every memory the view of the same door is there but I cannot get enough will power to get up, I am trapped down by something I cannot see.

This is the first time Mary-Beth has been away from home and she has always had phobia of leaving her family.

SARAH

What do you mean? Why can’t people see you?

CHANG

I don’t know. I guess only certain people can see me and others can’t. I have dealt with it forever though so this is not that different.

Sarah signs and shrugs her shoulders

Weird, but okay I guess…
